Wrenches with "Alligator" shank

 

These wrenches work with both nuts and pipes.

Adjustable jaw is at a 15 ° angle to the handle, which is the angle that requires a minimum of clearance for turning  a hex-nut.

Cheered by the Swedish for it’s special hardened steel and the 15 ° angle between the handle and jaw.

 

No. 31 is designed for the auto industry.      

Began production in 1922

Has a thinner head than the corresponding width of the 70-series.

15 ° angle between shaft and head.

Grip capacity  29 mm, length 205 mm (8 ").

Alligator end a has grip capacity 16 mm.

Produced in a somewhat simpler version for Volvo during the 1960s.

Ruler on the head was introduced in 1984.
Holes in the shaft were introduced about 1990.

No. 20 was first produced 1926 and ceased at the end of 1940.

Adjustable head was like the No 10.

Adjustable jaw capacity 19mm,

Length 155 mm (6 ").
Grip capacity of alligator jaw 13 mm.


No. 21 was first produced 1932 and ceased production at the end of 1940.
Same as No. 31 but slightly more robust.
 

Produced for Volvo.

No. 22 was first produced 1928 and ceased at the end of the 1040s.
The adjustable head was the same as No. 72

Grip capacity  30 mm and length 255 mm (10 ").

Grip capacity of alligator jaw 25 mm.


No. 23 was first produced 1927 and ceased at the end of  1940.

The adjustable head was the same as No. 73

Grip capacity of 34 mm, length 305 mm (12 ").

No. 30 was first produced in the 1950s and ceased in the 1960s.

The adjustable head was the same as No. 10,

Grip capacity 19mm and length 155 mm (6 ").
Grip capacity of alligator jaw 13 mm.

No. 420 was first produced in 1938 and ceased in 1940.

Was the same as No. 20 but was made of Cr-Ni- Va-steel and was chrome plated.  


No. 431 was first produced in 1938 and ceased in 1940.

Was the same as No. 31, but made of Cr- Ni-Va-steel and was chrome plated.
